A crazy rage inducing dash to the finish line to one up your friends high score.

Chat GPT was NOT used in the making of this game.

sourced parts of the game was the Metal lord font from the  space invaders game  made in Kit 103

User Guide:

Gameplay:

A labyrinth that will take many deaths and a bit of time to triumph over as you dodge a variety of traps to get to the goal.

KEYBINDS:

walking : A/D

Jumping: Space

Sideways Dash: Shift

Ability's:

Wall climbing: Triggered by spamming space when on a wall

Wall Jumping: Triggered by jumping on a wall

Wall Sliding: Triggered by Falling on a wall

Checkpoints:

checkpoints are sticks littered around the map that  when  crossed over will set a respawn point for the player to teleport back to when they die.

Goal + Door + Key:

The door for each level serve as a sort of puzzle for the player  which is solved by getting the key from another location which unlocks the door so the player can then progress to the goal which is the ultimate goal of the player to end the level.

Obstacles:

  Obstacles are represented by the color of red and when touched by the player force a respawn.

indeed very much rage inducing -- I see the super meatboy vibes here, and can see what you're going for -- the challenge with this type of game is to make sure the platforming is flawless and not the reason the player constantly dies -- instead it should be their timing and pathfinding skills that are put to the test. Obviously this is extremely hard to do and aside from games like meat boy and celeste, most games don't live up to this, and this game is no exception, with some bugs upon colliding with a wall, and no additional features like coyete-time etc. 

Having said that, the gameplay came close to hitting that "just one more attempt" spot before skewing too difficult due to controls, which is admirable for a first-year game (I've seen this style of game attempted a few times, and this is one of the better ones). So nice work!
